Support The Promota Africa magazine
Only 0.2% of all journalists in England are black and 0.4% Muslim when the UK BAME population is around 13%. How can the media accurately represent a population that it doesn’t reflect? In this case publications that speak for and to these under represented groups is essential.
That is why we established the Promota Africa magazine 14 years ago to represent the non-represented Black population in the UK. It has been a roll-coaster moving the magazine from a printed version to an online platform due to many reasons including the lack of main stream advertisers taking black media serious.
The magazine has become a must read magazine for Africans in the Diaspora due to its inspirational, thoughtful and intelligent issues that compliments an aspiring mind.
The magazine has covered celebrities from Eastenders, Queens and Kings in Africa, public officials (Boris Johnson…) presidents (President Uhuru of Kenya, YK Museveni of Uganda, HE Paul Kagame of Rwanda and many others)…
During this turbulent time whilst we’re unable to physically support each other, it’s important that the Promota Africa magazine is able to continue virtually supporting our community- financially and otherwise.
